Two Field Trips in One!


What: Denver Public Library History & Borrower Services Tour


When: Friday, December 8th at 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.


Who:  Designed for 3rd-6th graders (Only taking 30 people)
Cost: Free
Details: Please arrive at the main entrance 10 minutes early and look for me holding a sign “Denver Public Library & State Capital APEX”.  I’ll have name tags available (required for Capital tour).

What: Colorado State Capitol Tour – 2-2:45pm
When: Friday, December 8th at 2:00 to 2:45 p.m.

Who:  Design for 3rd-6th graders (Only taking 30 people)

Cost: Free
Details: Capitol Guides will meet you inside the Capitol at the Colfax and Sherman (north) first floor entrance after you pass through security clearance. The ground level entrance is at 14th Avenue and Sherman, and should only be used by visitors with special needs.

Name tags: Students should wear a name tag with first name and group letter A, B, C or D in large block print.

Personal items: Student backpacks are discouraged. The Capitol does not have a storage area for coats and backpacks; students must carry these items with them if they bring them into the building.

Behavioral expectations: The Statehouse is the seat of our state government. Whether on a tour, talking to an official, or eating lunch, all visitors are expected to be on their best behavior consistent with a business environment. In order to have the best experience possible for adults and students, please make sure all participants understand expectations of behavior prior to your visit. Guides reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time due to visitor misbehavior.
